The hotkeys from F1 to F12, are designed to achieve a variety of features.
To press any of the hotkeys, you enable corresponding feature in a faster way.
Examples are quick volume up or down, shutdown, increase or decrease brightness, e.t.c..,
But, when you want to enable any one of the above functions, you need to press the combination of “Fn” together with specific hotkey.
Is there a way to activate the feature by only pressing certain hotkey? And how to make it?
Solution ( I am working on lenovo G50-70 model lap I think it may differ to other models)
1. Enter BIOS to disable “Hotkey Mode” .
For entering into the Bois mode directly press the novo button on left side placed immediately below the power port.
2. After enter BIOS, Select “Configuration” menu.
For lenovo G50-70 series , set “HotKey Mode” as “Disabled” and press F10 to save and exit. See the image
Restart your lapatop...
That's it's floks.
